Sims 3 Legacy Challenge

Woohoo! The first post of many! I've always been a huge fan of Maxis and sims games in general. Sims 2 on console, as dreadful as it was, was my favorite game. When Sims 3 came out, I had to get it on PC to enjoy the game fully with expansion packs.
Just recently after picking the game back up after years of abandoning it, I fell in love again. The base game alone gave me hours upon hours of entertainment but I was tired of the same old song and dance. After spending a loooot of time reviewing all of LGR's reviews on all of the expansion packs, I decided to pick up Pets, Late Night, Generations, Supernatural, and Ambitions. With all of these expansion packs loaded with new content, I was ready to throw my social life away as I knew it.
I started a new save with my first gen. sim, Cherry Le. I didn't get the idea to make a blog about her until she's had three girls and another on the way, so I'm a tad bit behind ^^; To make up for that, let me tell you a little bit about Cherry.

In Twinbrook, Cherry is a 4-star celebrity at the top of her stylist career. Raking in nearly $3k a week plus commission, she's more than comfortable financially. She loves her job and tries her best to make it to every client even if she's not feeling quite the best from either a false rumor or just a bad mood. While she easily has the ability to give someone a bad makeover, she chooses not to because of her good natured side.
Cherry also has two cats, King Tut and Cleopatra. They're both very loyal and playful furballs that love running around the house and contracting fleas. They're her BFF's and she can't imagine life without their company.
It took Cherry a while to warm up to the idea of finally dating someone. Her job and career meant the world to her and she wasn't about to jeopardize what she's built on some short lived romantic fling... Until she met Cortney Greenburg.
Cortney was a married man, with blonde hair and overalls and the cutest freckles and sweet smile. He was one of Cherry's clients but soon became much more. Their affair was wrong, and Cherry knew it, but the way her heart fluttered while she was with him made it worth it.
After secretly dating for a while, Cherry finally asked him to leave his wife and family for her. She felt disgusting for doing that, but knew his daughters were both grown and would be able to understand. Plus, Cortney has told her about the problems at home with his wife, Dianna Greenburg. She was cold and distant to him and the children. To Cherry's surprise, Cortney agreed! That night while under the stars, the new couple became closer than ever.
With Cherry being a Fashion Phenomenon, she didn't have to worry about sacrificing her job for Cortney. She is finally able to settle down, relax, and have the family she's always wanted. Cortney was very eager as well. His wife had shunned both him and Cherry, but that didn't stop him from loving Cherry with all of his heart. His two daughters were understanding as predicted, but didn't quite warm up to the idea of having another mom just yet.
After coming home from an exhausting day of styling and making over Sims all over town, Cortney asked her to marry him. Cherry fainted from exhaustion shortly after saying yes.
The couple took their time with the marriage mainly because it gave Cortney some time to talk to his daughters and ex-wife about it. Cherry had a blast telling her celebrity friends about it as well.
Cherry and Cortney, now with all loose ends tied, decided to marry each other the next day. The backyard was decorated fully with a bar, fondue table, and buffet table. Everyone was invited, even Dianna. The wedding was a huge success. Cortney and Cherry kissed under the wedding arch with everyone crying at the beautiful scene.
Right afterwards, the newlyweds shyly held hands and made their way to the bedroom. Although this wasn't their first with each other, finally being able to make love as husband and wife after such an amazing wedding ceremony was nerve-raking. But that as well, was marvelous. They cuddled with each other in bed and talked about the rest of their lives together. Cortney asked Cherry if she wanted to have a baby together. She more than happily agreed and again they disappeared underneath the covers.

Today, Cherry and Cortney have raised three beautiful little girls, Margeret (the oldest toddler), Natalie (the middle toddler), and Miranda (the youngest child). The couple hope for a boy to be in Cherry's belly this time around.
Margaret and Natalie are the most like their parents. Margaret is brave, loves the outdoors and has star quality rushing through her veins with hair like her dad's. Natalie is eccentric, loves reading and is a genius with pink hair like her mommy.
Miranda, even though still a child, has tomboyish qualities. She prefers to get messy and play with the transformer toys rather than barbie dolls like her sisters. Miranda scoffed at her imaginary friend that was sent from her Aunt and never picked it up.

In the next post, I'll post their pictures and tell a little bit more about them.
